Akkitham Narayanan (b.1939)
Akkitham Narayanan is a brother of famous Malayalam poet Akkitham AchuthanNamboothiri. He received a Diploma in Painting from the Government School ofArts and Crafts, Chennai. He then studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris on aGovernment scholarship. He is therecipient of the IV International Festival of Painting Award, in Cagnes-sur-Mer,France, and was awarded the “K.C.S Paniker Puraskaram” by Kerala Lalit KalaAkademi in 2009, among other awards and scholarships. Narayanan’s works havebeen exhibited widely in India and internationally. He lives and works in Paris.
