Ayya Art Galleries arrived at the art scene of Chennai in the year 2004. From its humble beginnings in 2004, Ayya Art Galleries has blossomed into what it is today – a vibrant meeting point where art lovers, artistes and art buyers come together for the good of art. Ayya Art Galleries has equal space for well-established artistes as well budding ones. We conduct group and solo shows in our own premises and also in established prestigious centers all over India. We have conducted more than 200 sponsored shows in our in house gallery and around 75 shows all over India. Ayya Art Galleries has participated in Art Chennai 2011, its inaugural show in Chennai. Art Chennai is destined to grab for itself a prominent place in the art calender of Chennai. This is the brain-child of Shri Sanjay Tulsyan.. He is an art collector, curator, industrialist, philanthropist and a prominent citizen of Chennai. The way it was received is anything to go by, this annual event is going to make a place for itself among the major collective city-specific art events of the world. Art Chennai 2011 saw the active participation of all the major art galleries of Chennai. Several senior artistes from all over India displayed their works. Apart from individuals, prominent Indian art galleries actively participated in the show. Many other artistes put up their works on show in the premises of individual participating Chennai art galleries.
Art camps and Art seminars with interactive sessions among artistes, gallery owners, curators, critics and art collectors featured prominently in Art Chennai 2011. And of course, transparent art auctions, which saw enthusiastic buying by genuine art collectors and individuals. It was grand in every aspect and successful to the core.
The second edition of Art Chennai, titled Art Chennai 2012 will be put up in the month of March this year. The expectation is that it is going to be superlative in all positive aspects outdoing the previous year. A real treat to your artistic taste buds indeed!
